Just upgraded to new Storm OS, and SmrtGuard stopped working!
Problem 1
If you recently upgraded to the new Storm OS 4.7.0.148, your screen might look small and surround by blue boarders. See Table 1
The Fix
1. Uninstall the application
2. Install the application
3. Re-install the application
These steps have been able to resolve the issue.
Problem 2
If you recently upgraded to the new Storm OS 4.7.0.148, and when trying to activate, the activation screen doesn't do anything.
The Possible Causes
There are two possible causes:
1. App Permission (Fix 1)
2. Lack of Service Books (Fix 2)
The Fixes
Fix 1. Make sure the application are permissioned to be "Allowed" on your BlackBerry.
1a. Goto Options->Advance Options->Applications-> find and select SmrtGuard and then select "edit permissions".
1b. Make sure all the item listed are "Allowed". Save any setting changes, do a battery pull. And then try again.
Fix 2. Make sure to resend Service Books
You usually can do this from the place we you setup your Native BB Email.
2a. From the Email Settings Icon on your BlackBerry, you can resend yourself Service Books
2b. Call your Nework Service provider to have them resend to you.
